Amanda Bynes in She’s the Man good lord — is she ever. Keira played a soccer star coached by Jonathan Rhys Meyers there’s sports bras aplenty and lots of sexy players. Stick It starred a “Tomboy” she oozes rebellion, strength, and hotness I watched that film so many times and not just because I was a gymnast. The Phantom Menace kinda sucked but it gave us Hayden and Natalie. Kirsten kissing Toby while he’s upside down she’s in a rain-soaked top her red hair all around. Jolie as Laura Croft blew my young, queer mind it makes me wonder how my parents were at all surprised. Viggo and Liv Tyler as Aragorn and Arwen a double dose of beauty extra awesome if you’re nerdy. Lohan with her silky locks her freckles and her shape made me feel all kinds of things I wouldn’t get ‘til later. Shia became be the worst and Megan’s taste in men could probably use some work but when I watched Transformers it was such a lovely treat two gorgeous people I’m sure I’ll never meet. Gossip Girl boasts no shortage of problematic scenes but it’s also overflowing with handsome and pretty teens. Lost’s ending disappointed fans but damn that show cast gorgeous humans. Denzel as coach Herman Boone made a young me swoon. Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke with all her hair and legs made my teen heart beat like I’d just ran up the stairs. Halle as Catwoman wrapped in all that leather had me feeling tingly way down in my nethers. The aughts were not a paradise for queer kids by any stretch we lacked proper representation our president was Bush but something else is true: concerning entertainment it was one hell of an era if you liked men and women too.
